HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?

No experience is required to rent or tour with a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard (SUP)

We require that anyone under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in a kayak or canoe.

WHAT IS PROVIDED WITH MY RENTAL OR TOUR?

All kayak and canoe rentals come with paddles, professional paddling PFD’s (Lifejackets) from Canadian company MEC, map of the area including must see landmarks, and a 10 L dry bag with waterproof cellphone case. Also included with every rental is a Canadian certified safety kit including a bail bucket, 50 ft throw rope with float, whistle, compass and a flashlight.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

That’s up to you however we recommend the essentials such as sunscreen, proper footwear and clothing, a hat, and some water. If you are on a day tour or longer rental, you will want to bring a phone, some snacks, or some cash to purchase food from the Sunnybrook Mill Market or Lunenburg Yacht Club Clubhouse.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

It is important to protect yourself from the UV rays as well as the chilly wind on certain days, so be sure to check the weather forecast the day of your adventure. Beach footwear/clothes are always a good choice, just remember that here is no shade on the water so a hat, sunscreen and proper clothes are important.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

We don’t need sunshine or dry weather to go adventuring! However there are days with weather systems that will prevent us from renting or touring. We will contact booked parties the morning of the booking if weather such as thunder storms, pouring rain or high wind arises.

We do not require a deposit for booking.

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?

We accept all debit and credit cards on-site at our shop, and we still appreciate cash too.

You will be asked to review our waiver and make your payment before departing.
